I just bought this coffee maker--for even more than they're selling it on Amazon for!--and it's not horrible, but probably not worth the money. Every cup of coffee I've had so far has had grounds on the bottom of it. The taste is so-so, although it may be the coffee I'm using.

My new Braun Coffeemaker is, without doubt, the finest, regardless of price, that I have ever owned. I would have given it 5 stars except the filters only last two months; I'd be happier if Braun would develop a filter cartridge that would only need replacing once a year.
I have owned several other brand coffeemakers in the past, some very good, but they are now sitting in my kitchen cabinet collecting dust, because none of them can compare in quality and ease of use to my Braun. I am extremely satisfied.

This KF510-BK makes a good cup of coffee which was my main priority in the purchase. The switch of my six year old Braun which made excellent coffee broke and the replacement cost was more than a new model. I found no negatives with the process of preparing the coffee but keep in mind that the gold coffee filter (which my older Braun came with) is not included with this product, but.....fortunately, I was able to use the old one in this model instead of paper filters. I believe gold filter makes a better cup of coffee. I am not using the Brita water filters at all since I am filling the reservoir with filtered water from my refriferator door.

I bought this coffee maker to try and get above the level of cheap coffeemakers. I did not succeed. I paid $50 and could have bought a $20 Mr. Coffee and saved myself a lot of my money. This is not a top of the line coffee maker with bottomline features.... it is a bottomline coffee maker with bottomline features. It has no clock, no timer, no automatic turnoff (It will cook the pot dry if you forget to turn it off. It is hard to fill to the correct level without having water run out the hole in the reservoir at the back. It is hard to pour a cup of coffee without cascades of dribbles. You are supposed to be able to take a cup out as it is brewing. In a word, "Don't". It just keeps drooling coffee all over the heating element. And it takes forever to brew a pot of coffee.
I am not an engineer, just a harried housewife that is trying to get everything together in the morning and get everyone where they need to go. THIS coffeemaker should have never made it to the marketplace.
If you want a basic coffeemaker, get a Mr. Coffee for $20, this is not what you are looking for.
There is nothing "Deluxe" about this coffee maker except the profit they are making off of consumers like me.

If you are shopping for a no frills coffeemaker that brews good coffee, this Braun Coffeemaker is for you. We have owned it for almost three months and have had no problems whatsoever!
I use the water filter and did a two-month filter change and flushing with vinegar because we have hard water which does tend to mess up the coffeemakers if you don't perform a periodic flushing to get rid of the sediments/calcifications.

We take our coffee very seriously. The right brewing temperature is key for a great cup of coffee. Recently, our Cuisinart coffeemaker, which cost three times as much, bit the dust. I decided to try a BUNN as I had heard so many great things about them. After shelling out a fair amount of money for that and hoping for great things, we were sadly disappointed, since what promised to be HOT coffee was not even close. No more big dollar coffeemakers for us! After reading favorable reviews on Braun, I decided to give this model a try. In one word: "WOW!" Let's see....not only do we have a sleek design, a Brita water purifier included, a super fast brewing time, but we also have HOT coffee (Gee, what a novelty.) You can't beat this coffeemaker!....it's a dandy for this price.

The best thing about this is that the coffee filter thing lifts easily out with zero hassle. The coffee pot itself has a nice rubberized handle for easy grip. Someone says the pot drips but that has never happened once with me. I'm not totally sold on the use of a water filter that has to be replaced every month. Still too soon to tell if that's just a waste of dollars to buy the filters.

I consider this coffee pot to be near perfect. It has no "auto turn on" feature, but i never use that anyway. The only thing that takes getting used to is the way the filter holder thing opens, but it soon becomes habit.
My favorite feature has to be the water filter. It really improves the coffee flavor. It's also compact. I gained a little more counter space.

I bought this Braun coffeemaker recently because my husband was convinced that a cone shaped filter makes better coffee than the cupcake shaped filter. We already had a Mr Coffee coffeemaker that I was perfectly happy with. The Braun uses a cone shaped filter, while the Mr Coffee uses the cupcake shaped one. I tried coffee made with both coffeemakers and to my surprise, I could tell a difference. The Braun does make better, more flavorful coffee. The only thing that I don't like is that it only makes 10 cups of coffee while the Mr Coffee makes 12 cups. I couldn't find a 12 cup coffeemaker that uses cone shaped filters. Anyway, I am very happy with this Braun model.

I bought this coffemaker to replace the Braun that I currently use. I wanted a Black coffemaker and I was happy with the Braun brand. I do not like how the carafe pours, seems it always spills. I also have to get used to the way the water tower opens, it's backwards in comparison to the one I already owned. Over all, I prefer the older Flavor Select. But this one looks FABULOUS on my counter.

This appliance is very easy to clean. I especially like the filter, no stains. Coffee is done in a jif. Sleek lines and convenient swing out basket for easy removal.

I only have this a short time but so far so very very good. The handle is super comfortable, the pot is nicely shaped for easy cleaning, the lid removes and goes back on without a hassle. The pushbutton release for the grounds section is a total pleasure - nothing squirts. The counter gets a little warmer than I like when you leave it on for awhile after it is finished brewing (30 minutes). The coffee is kept nice and hot, however. The markings on the pot have no relationship with the markings on the carafe - they mention this in the use and care and after a couple of times you figure out how it works so that is no big deal. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the heat and marking issues, which are relatively minor after all.

We love our new Braun KF510-BK!! It makes great coffee, and it's very easy to use. Unlike many reviewers, we actually searched for a machine that did not have a "gold filter". My husband can't stand cleaning the grinds from those built-in filters, and he is delighted with the design and quality of our new Braun. The filter chamber easily swings open with the touch of a button, and all of the components (including the carafe) are very easy to clean. Since we only make coffee for 4 at most, this machine suits our needs. I was going to get the pricey Cuisinart, but didn't need any of the fancy add-ons. I'm glad we went with this terrific coffeemaker.

The Braun KF510 10 Cup Coffee Maker does not offer much in terms of frills. There is no clock function and no auto on function or auto-off function or a beeping sound when the coffee is finished brewing.
What it does offer though is a great tasting cup of coffee. It also offers superior ergonomics. The unit is well designed and comfortable. The carafe opens easily and feels secure in the hand. The water resevoir is wide open so that you do not have to be William Tell pouring the water into the resevoir. There is an outside water level indicator just can case you use a vegetable sprayer to fill the carafe. It has a pop out cone basket for easy access. It also offers a Brita water filtration system which only improves the coffee flavor.
My only complaint - it is only a 10 Cup Maker. One can never have enough coffee so it would have been nice to have the 12 Cup option but alas, I guess that means I'll just have to make another pot!

Bought on Amazon on sale $39.99, a good price for such a stylish maker. Also bought Braun GF4 (gold) filter basket which works well with the maker. Makes very hot coffee, probably due to the filter basket, I was using paper filters before. Fast, about 1 cup per minute. Ergonomic handle fits hand comfortably.
Only very minor complaints - 1) head of steam comes rolling out when done making coffee 2) when pouring water in several drops always land on the carafe plate making spattering sounds and 3) carafe lid does not stay open by itself when filling with water. All in all very minor.

We have had our coffee maker for a month and it has overflowed three times. We have had Braun Coffee Makers in the past and have not had this problem...ever. This one looks good, but can be a problem.

I had owned a Braun coffeemaker earlier but had switched over to Krups and was dissapointed. So I went back to Braun, purchasing the KF510 with a separate gold filter. Overall the design is good, it's a stylish piece. Coffee was decent and hot but what I found really dissapointing was the pause and serve feature. I don't think it works properly and after removing it, the coffee floods seem to have stopped. I'm not sure if I got a bum coffeemaker or what but I've seen mention of this issue in a couple of other reviews... So I guess I'll have to buy another one!
(Addendum: The pause/serve feature doesn't always work so the coffee ends up coming out of drainage holes at the top of the filter basket and not out of the drip spout, very messy!)

Looks great in our b/w kitchen and works perfectly. However, please note that this model does NOT come with a gold filter and requires paper filters. I rectified the situation by puting a gold filter in later and it works great. Very stylish and great coffee for the price.

I'm disappointed in this coffee maker. Either the water passes thru the coffee too quickly giving a weakened taste (shouldn't happen w/ a milita filter system) or, worse yet, the carafe doesn't activate the 'trip' device and "no" water comes thru
unless you stand there and monitor the flow. We've had a number of coffee floods. We love the styling, the grip and the ease of reading the water level...we just don't trust the system...we
have had Braun's in the past but this one's the pits!

I've purchased Braun products for many years but this particular coffeemaker has been very disappointing. Their convenient water level window is inaccurate, brewing a different size pot of coffee each time (with or without the filter in place) and the water passes through the grind too quicky, producing coffee that is so weak that it's more like tea.

Years ago we had a Braun and loved it. When it was time to get a new coffe maker, we went for another brand. We regreted it. I was so happy to find this Braun coffee maker on Amazon for an excellent price. It is very easy to use and makes a wonderful pot of coffee. It also brews quickly. The new design is great!
