This coffee maker is a 6 cup maker, which equates to about 2 office cups, perfect for the early morning coffee drinker.
I really like the detachable tank.
The grinder and coffee maker are both reasonably quiet.
At $39, the price is good. I didn't spend an arm and a leg for it and I get a great cup of coffee, every morning.

->Best Price Sanyo SAC-MST6 Coffee/Tea Maker with Built-In Grinder, Black

I had been searching for a coffee maker with a built-in grinder and even went as far as purchasing a Cuisinart for $150.00, which I didn't care for and returned. There aren't that many coffee makers out there with the built-in grinders, so I decided to give the Sanyo a try. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at how hot the coffee was (compared to the Cuisinart) and how delicious. I was a little bit disappointed in that I thought the grinder automatically ground the coffee and brewed it, but got over that quickly, since everything else was so great. I also would have preferred the coffee maker been in black rather than the dark gray color, but again, it is a minor flaw to me. All in all, for the money, I don't think there is a better coffeemaker out there with the features it has for the low price. Buy it! Patricia Davis in Cave Creek, AZ

There is nothing like fresh ground coffee beans each time you make coffee. With this machine the grinder is attached and easy to use. I very really have to make more than 6 cups so this machine is ideal. Only objections is the size of the machine, larger than I hope for and color options would have been nice.

I like this product. It works quite well and brews smaller batches of coffee perfectly. The built in grinder has given me no trouble at all and grinds the coffee beans for a proper time in order to create a great cup of coffee. I enjoy using this machine.

->Comparison Sanyo SAC-MST6 Coffee/Tea Maker with Built-In Grinder, Black

I bought this because I love fresh coffee (of course) and an integral grinder is the answer. Many other units are very high-priced for this feature, but this one stands out as relatively inexpensive. And, there are not that many products out there with this feature to begin with.

It has a charcoal filter that filters the water as it brews too. The grinder works well. It simply pops off the motor part of the unit and you pour the grind into the filter basket. It makes a great pot of coffee quickly. I have also made tea using loose leaf teas and they are also brewed perfectly. The water container/tank is removeable from the unit to fill it easier from the tap, but it is always better to use bottled or distilled water.

Sanyo has definitely thought of every desired feature for this unit. No complaints whatsoever about the coffeemaker itself....BUT....when I got it - the small accessory kit - which includes a measuring scoop, and a brush to get the grind powder out of the grinder- and a few starter filters-- was missing!!! I didn't feel like going through the hassle of trying to get it from Sanyo, and going through Amazon for assistance. So, other than that, it still remains the best coffeemaker/grinder combo for the money in my opinion.

I'm in love with this coffee maker. It definitely makes the best tasting cup of coffee I've had in a long time.

The only thing I wish it had was a timer and an auto-off. I forget to turn it off in the morning when I leave for work which is hazardous.

Awesome product though!

I am not pleased with this coffee maker - the water reservoir leaks so much that I cannot fill it the night before.

I'm a tea drinker and once in a while coffee. I also often need coffee for company. This is the best. I use it with the #2 gold permanent filter available here on Amazon from Medelco. I fill it at night and just push the button in the morning, just the right amount of tea for one or two. It is easy to clean. I looked at the expensive machines at around $200.00 and the price was OK but the K-cups for 100 cups could be as much as $55.00, with the Sanyo I use 100 Lipton tea bags for $2.25. That makes me happy in the morning. I bought some exotic coffee beans here at Amazon and they work great in the Sanyo. I was so please with the unit I bought more for gifts to share the fun. I would highly recommend this unit if you are only one or two and tea is as important as coffee. Oh, it is not really black more like a dark grey.

I was looking for a coffee maker that was smaller than the normal 10-12 cup and this 6 cupper is perfect. When I needed to make an additional pot, it took no time at all to brew up another pot. Not only is the maker fast, but it makes the coffee taste so much better! We haven't changed brands, but the coffee from this unit tastes smoother and more flavorful. Is it because of the extra charcoal filter, the rain shower drip process or ? I don't know, but we love it.

I've tried more coffee makers than i'd like to admit, this one is in a class by it self. The first thing you notice is the design, virtually all the components can be removed for easy cleaning. The slow drip i think really adds to a taste that you would get at a high end coffee shop. Makes great tea as well. I will probably be buying a couple for friends/family. You can't go wrong with this one.

And, the 6 cup is perfect, no more wasted coffee. Bravo Sanyo!

After exhaustively researching coffeemakers on-line, I came across this Sanyo only on Amazon. My son ordered it for me for Mothers' Day and I love it. It makes delicious strong tea or coffee with no cross-flavors because it uses different baskets for each. It's compact, quick, and simple. The technology of the unit strongly resembles our expensive espresso machine. Couldn't be happier and it was a bargain!

->Purchase Sanyo SAC-MST6 Coffee/Tea Maker with Built-In Grinder, Black

I bought this based on the reviews here and I am diappointed. Maybe I just received a bad one but it takes a very long time to brew. More than twice the length stated in the instruction manual. The instruction manual has troubleshooting instructions suggesting that there is a blockage that can be cleared by running vinegear through it but this doesn't make sense for a brand new machine.

So far, I've been using this for a month and I'm not buying coffee outside anymore. Grinding each time just as much as I need, I think, makes a fresh full bodied fravor even more rich.
I like this machine because:
-takes minimum space even though it has the grider
-6cups size is not too small and not too large, just my size
-also works well when I just needed a cup of hot water
It'll be even more better though if the blade of grider were detachable when washing it (is it just because I don't know how?).
