Works well, super easy to use, cleaning is a breeze.
Standard water tank holds about 3 cups, you are re-filling it constantly. You have to be REALLY careful to make sure everything is seated and locked down right, or it leaks all over the place.

SINCE PURCHASING THE SENSEO I HAVE BARELY USED MY REGULAR COFFEE POT---IT IS FAST & THE COFFEE IS HOT---THE COFFEE PODS ARE EASY TO FINE EITHER AT MY LOCAL GROCERY STORE OR ON AMAZON. THE ONLY, AND I REPEAT ONLY THING I WISH WERE A LITTLE DIFFERENT IS THAT IT IS SO FAST THAT YOU GET FOAM ON TOP BUT IT IS EASY TO SPOON OFF. THE COFFEE FLAVOR FROM THE PODS IS EXCELLENT RATHER IT BE COLUMBIAN TO CAPPICHINO. WOULD DEFINTELY RECOMMEND THIS MACHINE FOR PURCHASE

The coffee is difficult to find in stores and not inexpensive... averages about 30 cents per cup for a 4 oz cup. I tried getting a double cup from each pod, but the coffee is just too weak for for my liking. You had better like foam on top of your coffee, because there is plenty. I would prefer my coffee without. It's a quick cup in the mornings, but I'll probably go back to my 8 cup pot.

This coffee maker is so fast and easy to use, I purchased another one for my office. The convenience of a large reservoir allows me to make many cups of coffee in a row. Great for when I have company.
The clean up is minimum and no loose grinds to wipe up.

This coffee maker came just as described. This unit works well, and is easy to clean. I like a 12 ounce cup of coffee, so I push the two cup serving button, and then the single serving button. I am having trouble trying to find the tea pod holder for this unit. Overall I am satisfied with the maker.

This is our second Senseo machine. We had our first machine for a couple of years before my wife decided to take it to work. The advantage of the Deluxe machine is the larger reservoir and the adjustable spout. Very happy with both machines.

This is a revision of a fairly negative view. I bought the HD7820 Deluxe for use in my office at work. I never considered that a "pod" system coffee maker might have some drawbacks - viz., regulating the strength of the brew. If you use one pod for an 8 ounce cup, you may find the coffee a bit weak for your taste. If you use two pods, the coffee may be stronger than you like. However, I have grown to enjoy the coffee this machine produces. If you want a cup of coffee that tastes like freshly ground, gourmet beans, this machine won't do it. However, I have found that by refrigerating the pods, freshness is better preserved. It makes great tea from pods, if you are a tea drinker. I have even been making tea with regular tea bags instead of using pods. The machine is well made and performs exactly as described by the manufacturer. All in all, I have found nothing better for a small office environment, by-the-cup fresh cup of coffee. So I am changing my rating from one to four stars.

I love coffee, but I got tired of driving to - and then standing in line at - my understaffed local big-chain coffee store. I tried traditional home coffee machines, but since I'm the only coffee drinker in the house, that ended up being a real waste of time and coffee, not to mention the prep work and cleanup involved.
Enter Senseo. It does exactly what is says it will do, brew individual cups quickly and conveniently with no messy grounds to clean up or leftover coffee to deal with. For my taste, the coffee is rich and aromatic; it has a distinctly European character which isn't a bad thing because the coffee over there almost always outclasses anything available here in my experience.
One benefit I don't see mentioned a lot is the ability to switch from regular to decaf, from one flavor to another simply by switching from one variety of pod to another. No traditional coffee maker can do that, and it's a real blessing for social situations where you are likely to find people with a mix of preferences.
Finally, one word of warning: if you love huge, steaming mugs of coffee, this device won't give you that. It brews small cups of coffee, about the size you get from the self-brewing machines in your local car dealership. If you can live with that, and adjust your add-ons ( cream, milk, sweetener ) accordingly, you will probably be very satisfied with this coffee brewer.

We are really enjoying using this coffee maker and it makes very good fresh coffee every time. We got too many flavored pods with the coffee maker and would have preferred just getting unflavored coffee as we do not like flavored coffee. Think people should be offered a choice as to what kind of coffee they want.

I felt the need to post a review here after reading one of the other comments. I have owned and used the original Senseo for almost 4 years and the only complaint I had was that some of my extra large mugs were too big for it. Recently I built a new house with all black appliances in my kitchen and figured it was the perfect excuse to purchase the black deluxe model that can accomodate my extra large mug (adjustable spout). For the record, I like my coffee black and strong. When I go to Starbucks, I order the bold roast of the day and the only thing I put in it is an espresso shot. With that being said, let me say the Senseo can make coffee strong enough for any coffee drinker as long as they know how to use it. And if you are intelligent enough to put your pants on by yourself, you'll have no problem making a strong, quality cup of coffee with the Senseo. This coffee maker does exactly what it claims and does it well. If you're a coffee connoisseur, I recommend the Sumatra pods (my favorite) but the Colombia, Brazil and Kenya are also worth a try.

The Senseo coffee pods come in different flavors and strengths to please almost everyone. Cleaning the Senseo coffee maker is a snap. I like mine so much I bought one of these for my brother and his wife and they love it too. I use 1 pod for an 8 oz. cup of coffee and it's great. The new flavored coffees are terrific. My dad drank all my cappucino! I have made tea using an herbal tea that comes in a round pod-like tea bag sold at Wegman's. I believe the brand is Republic of Tea. But there are other brands too.

I hardly ever write reviews but I felt the need to on this item. I bought the senseo deluxe last night, I wanted the deluxe model so that I could also make tea. The setup was quick and easy and the price was great compared to the competition. Here's the problem, I brewed a cup of coffee and this was the weakest coffee EVER and I'm not even a big coffee drinker. To make matters worse each pod only makes 4oz of coffee. Who drinks only 4 ounces of anything. You would need to use 2 pods just to make 8 oz and then the coffee is still weak. Which is wear the waste of money comes in. The senseo pods are the same price as the home cafe pods but you will go through them twice as fast. I personally ended up returning this machine and getting a tassimo this morning. I originally bought the Senseo because I didnt want to spend Tassimo money but in the end you pay for what you get. Now the tassimo is great. I've made hot chocolate for my daughter and tea for my son. Everyone likes it. Good luck everyone.
